The news some fans of DC Comics have been dreading is finally confirmed. Former Twilight star Robert Pattinson is going to play the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ The Batman in 2021.

Following breakthrough performances in the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises, Pattinson has spent some years steering clear of the mainstream, instead of working with directors such as David Cronenberg, David Michôd, the Safdie brothers and James Gray.
