Foxconn plans to invest 1 billion US dollars to expand the iPhone assembly plant in India.
According to media reports, Foxconn plans to invest up to 1 billion US dollars to expand an iPhone assembly plant in southern India. This move is one of Apple’s measures to gradually shift production out of China.

” Foxconn said that the company will not comment on customer-related issues, and Apple has not yet made a request for comment.”

In Indian smartphone market, iPhone sales account for about 1% of total sales. India is the second-largest smartphone market in the world.

Affected by the import tax, the selling price of the iPhone in India has been further increased, and increasing the local Indian production will help the company save import tax.
