10 Reasons Why iPhone is better than Android.

The argument of iPhone vs Android has yielded the big question of “is iPhone or Android better”? We already made a similar one on “iPhone vs Samsung“.

This article argues on the iPhone vs Android debate and gives 10 reasons why iPhone is better than Android to answer “is iPhone or Android better”.

1. Security

Security and Privacy of iPhones are way better than any Android device. Although, Android is closing the gap here, in general iPhones are more secure than the Android devices. The iPhones deliver consistent Hardware-based security like the Secure Enclave and the now the infamous USB restricted mode. Whereas, on Samsung hardware-based security varies wildly between manufacturers with some handsets even having been accused of providing user information to third parties. With the increase in the depth of encryption, the FBI showed the Apple put the privacy & security of the user on top. Your personal information will be in the high-security framework as compared with Android device. And this Samsung is not better than the iPhone even though Android is improving security too.

2. Optimization

It is quite obvious the optimization of Apple devices and iOS is the best between hardware and OS. iPhones are world-known for better hardware as well as software integration. Every new launch of iPhone takes the smartphone to the next level. The smartphone market has matured to the point where Chinese brands that you’ve never heard of are making Android phones that legitimately aren’t complete garbage. Yet Apple’s deep integration between the hardware and the OS continues to give them a lead in speed and stability. Using a Geekbench 4 of both single-core and Multi-core, the iPhone pulls a lead on the competitor Android Phones.

3. Malicious Apps

As of yesterday, there were 2,808,456 apps on Google play store. Out of this, 377,825 Apps on play store are regarded as low-quality Apps and the remaining as regular apps. The Apple App Store still holds the 2,200,000 apps just as it started the year with. It is obvious most malicious apps like Optimizers, Battery savers and more can be found in Android phones on like the iPhone. The quality control checks on the Apple store sieve most apps that do not meet the standard compared to what happens on Google play.

4. Industry Leading Support

Apple’s iPhones and tablets get updates both for features and security more quickly, consistently and for longer than just about any other mobile device on the market. When you have a problem with your Android phone, you can try finding a solution on online forums or calling your carrier. But with the iPhone, you can tap into a vast database of useful help articles on Apple’s website, get help via live chat or schedule an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar. With the exception of the Pixel, Google doesn’t have this kind of direct relationship with its customers. For other Android phones, you have to go through your carrier or the phone maker, and you won’t see the same level of service. Apple also recently just opened up its device repair program which would mean more repairers in town.

5. Phone Setup

Moving from an old iPhone to a new iPhone use to be a bit complicated but better than android since it had iClould to do much of the backup and restored on the new device. Apple has made it possible for all iPhones on iOS 12.4 or newer. This new option allows you to scan the new iPhone with the old just to transfer everything in the same position to the new iPhone. Android devices like Samsung have Samartswith to help move from a new Samsung to Another but unlike other Android devices and generally, the device setup is just poor.

6. iOS Ecosystem

The Apple ecosystem is regarded as one of the best device ecosystems we have ever seen. Your photos, messages and browsing history is synced between your iPhone and MacBook. You’ve got Universal Copy-Paste, send files with airdrop instead of trying to figure out if your friends’ phone has NFC at all and if it does, where exactly the antennas align. It is the most sophisticated OS ecosystem hands-down.

7. Continuity

Most people use a tablet, computer, or wearable in addition to their smartphone. For those people, Apple offers a more consistent and integrated experience. Because Apple makes computers, tablets, and watches along with the iPhone, it offers things that Android (which mostly runs on smartphones, though there are tablets and wearables that use it) can’t. Apple’s Continuity features let you unlock your Mac using an Apple Watch, start writing an email on your iPhone while you’re walking and finish it on your Mac at home, or have all of your devices receive any call coming into your iPhone.

8. Mobile Apps

New apps often launch first on the iPhone. A global phenomenon like Fortnite which arrived on Android in August 2018, despite being available on iOS a full four months earlier. TBH was also an iOS app until facebook acquired it, then it got into the Android Play Store.

9. Parental Control

The Internet can be dangerous for children. You may not want your kids to be able to view every website or use an app. While it may not be easy to monitor their activity on a mobile device like an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, Apple includes some powerful tools in iOS to help you protect your kids. Previously called “parental controls” or “restrictions,” these settings offer a number of ways to prevent your kids from accessing inappropriate content. Now located within the Screen Time settings (in iOS 12 or later), there are lots of options you can adjust. In this article, I’ll walk you through the Screen Time settings and help you make your children’s iOS devices safer.

10. LONGEVITY

Apple supports the older versions of iPhones for as long as five years. On the other hand, Google’s Android phones become spoiled in just three years. You can use your iPhone for four, five, maybe six years if you stretch it and, iPhones also hold their value better. After using the iPhone for a couple of years, when sold the proceeds are much higher than that of an android phone. iPhone vs Samsung sales by many has shown Samsung phones have a quick price depreciation compared to iPhones.
